Tottenham attacker emerges as top January target for Saudi Arabia

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham attacker Richarlison is once again being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

That’s according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law who claims that Richarlison and Jadon Sancho are being targeted by Saudi

As per the report, the Saudi Pro League have already began finalising the financing for the next transfer window with eyes set on a number of Premier League stars.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is one of them with Saudi desperate to sign him along with Heung-min Son. Both of them however are not available in the January.

For the time being, Richarlison and Jadon Sancho have emerged as top targets for the January transfer window.

The Tottenham attacker was subject to late Saudi interest in the summer transfer window but Tottenham weren’t keen on letting Richarlison leave, having just sold Kane to Bayern Munich.

Saudi are ready to test the waters again in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old has been struggling since joining Tottenham from Everton in a big money move.

He only scored one goal in the Premier League last season and while many thought that he would return to his best under Ange Postecoglou, he unfortunately has continued to struggle.

He has lost his place on the left to Brennan Johnson due to poor form and injury problems.

Latest set-back for him came in the form of a surgery on his pelvis which is expected to keep him out for the next few weeks.

That being said, whether Spurs decide to cash in on him in January or not remains to be seen.

Spurs do have a squad problem with Son, Johnson and Kulusevski the only available attacking options they have right now.

If they fail to sign another attacker in January, it is unlikely that they will sell the Brazilian.
