Tottenham are reportedly looking to replace key star in the summer

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly looking to replace Son Heung-Min at the end of the season.

The 30-year-old South Korean international has not been at his best this season and it is no surprise that the Londoners are considering alternatives for him in the future.

Son has been one of the best players in the Premier League since joining Tottenham but he has regressed considerably this season. As a result, the goalscoring burden has been on Harry Kane and the 29-year-old needs more support from his teammates.

The 30-year-old has scored just 4 goals in 21 league matches this season and a report from the Times claims Tottenham are looking to bring in a wide forward at the end of the season. They are keeping tabs on Marcus Thuram, who will be available on a free transfer this summer.

The South Korean is undoubtedly a top-class player on his day and it remains to be seen whether he can recapture his form and confidence in the coming months.

He has a contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2025 and he could still be a very useful player for Antonio Conte.

Meanwhile, Tottenham signed Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal during the January transfer window and it remains to be seen whether they decide to sign the Dutchman on a permanent basis. They have the option to sign that 25-year-old for a fee of around £20m in the summer.

However, Danjuma hasn’t exactly hit the ground running so far and it remains to be seen whether he can improve on his performances in the coming months.
