Tottenham are prepared to cash in on first-team ace for just £17 million

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has been linked with a January exit and a number of clubs are keen on securing his services before the window closes.

According to a report from Corriere Dello Sport via SportWitness, Italian club Lazio are keen on signing the 22-year-old winger and they will face competition from Premier League clubs like Brighton and Hove Albion.

The report states that Tottenham value the player at €20 million (£17m) and it remains to be seen whether they can get rid of him on deadline day.

It is evident that the Spanish winger does not have a future at Tottenham and he needs to move on in order to continue his development with regular football.

Brighton are hoping to sign the player on loan and it remains to be seen with the Tottenham are prepared to sanction a temporary move until the end of the season.

The North London outfit already have players like Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson and Manor Solomon as specialist wingers at their disposal. In addition to that, Richarlison and Timo Werner can operate as wingers as well.

Gil is unlikely to get ample opportunities if he stays at the North London club during the second half of the season. It remains to be seen how the situation develops.

The 22-year-old was regarded as a prodigious young talent during his time at Sevilla, but he has not been able to live up to the expectations since the move to England. The transfer has clearly not worked out for either party and they should look to go their separate ways.
