There’s been a notable change in the mood of the fans online. Where there was once a never-ending conveyor belt of upbeat ‘go team!‘ type comments to virtually anything, the club put out, we now have an increasing number of dissenting comments reminding the ENIC of the fist they have made of things.
When things are going well, fans spend. When things are not going well, it’s natural for fans to be in less of a hurry to part with their hard-earned cash. Anyone who has been to the club shop after a game when we have lost will be able to bear witness to that fact.
Having scraped 7th, sacked the manager just days before a cup final, and spent the last few months wondering when Harry Kane is leaving is hardly a springboard for a retail spend-up.
Judging by these responses, in the main, fans are more concerned about who will be wearing these kits, as opposed to rushing to out and spending, Maybe the fans have bigger picture thoughts than our owners, eh?

100%. Our stadium has to get worked. I’m on the manor and welcome all events. Some just want the stadium to be for football only. Not me. Everything to boost the local economy.
I’m looking forward to it. Spurs used to have a cricket team back in the day.
Take a breath yoof
It’s evident ENIC know no shame. They’ll continue to mug the fans at every turn. I’ve said it before. ENIC realised right from the start. There’s nowt as dum as the average football fan.
Are you deaf, mate?
Of course any new stadium build will want to maximise income, that’s just sound financial business sense.
THFC aren’t the only ones bidding for all the events, they just so happen to have the very best arena for them at present.
(Wembley’s owners must be screwing THFC have nicked the NFL from them).

Ok, now I’ve seen the ‘blog from a Brit in Switzerland,’ being the inquisitive & questioning type, I’d ask, who is s/he? How credible is the info & the source?
(More to self than wanting an in depth answer).
Oh yes, was thinking of going to that too. 👍🏾
With triple cheeseburgers and a vat of coke every hour ..Gimme five !!

When Joe does decide to sell everything Tottenham paid for it will all still be Tottenham’s. 👍
Real Madrid are about to copy our stadium. They want peice of the NFL ac£ion. THFC gonna rinse the NFL🌚
They treat fans like filth. Filth who are obligated to consume what they’re selling apparently.
Who’s got that kind of cash for “training gear” for the love of sports??
not recently sanitised, one dearly hopes.
‘Nice bloke paid to read from cue card’
The debt is in excess of £1billion – I have covered the Swiss Ramble’s assessment of it on here on several occasions, Also, £240million cash was pulled out of nowhere and put into the build by the club.
I mentioned in a previous post that the term self sustaining is used by Levy and ENIC to justify austerity measures for all things football related.at THFC. It perpetuates the jam tomorrow myth that they have constantly spun to the supporters that they seek to charge some of the most expensive ticket prices in Europe to. Liverpool football club also claim to be a self sustaining football club. However they adopted the approach that investment was needed in buying world class players, getting a world class manager and winning championships and titles. They claim that success on the pitch sustains everything else and that success is reinvested back into the club to maintain that success. A world of difference between the use of the same term by Liverpool owners Fenway sports and THFC owners ENIC who have determined that property and land development is the metric of success. The football club is just one pillar towards that success. It is run on no investment and maximising financial returns by qualifying for the CL each season without any desire to win any competition. I feel that we have reached a defining moment in Levy and ENIC’ s tenure if the disconnect with the fan base translates to a dramatic downturn in revenues. I sense the jig is up with our present owners and there is no coming back. The new manager appointment debacle is yet another nail in the coffin for them.
I’m going to ask the question, where did you get the £1bn figure from?
I’ve yet to see any figure mentioned by ENIC, THFC, Mace contractors or anyone else relevant to or concerned with the build, as far as I’m aware that was a wildly speculative guesstimate bandied about by the press?
But IF I’m not au fait with the true cost, I apologise for doubting.
In addition, a fact many refuse to accept as sound business, the THFC stadium is not only a football ground – 1st & foremost – but a multi-event venue & the NFL, boxing, concerts, rugby (both codes), sky-walk, etc will generate vast amounts of money also.
(Said the other day,it’s NO different to numerous other stadia that’ll host non-football events next year onwards, but seemingly it’s a major problem for many THFC fans to understand & accept?)
There are a lot of unknowns involving the ending of the lockdown and how fan bases of all clubs will react to both virological concerns and broader economic factors regarding returning to their stadiums.
Spurs, with a strong local fan base, should still be in a much better position than most clubs regarding financial sustainability and should have little difficulty in maintaining their debt service, once a return to ‘normality’ ensues.
Relegation of course would be an unthinkable disaster!
I heard the enic/levy/lewis fan club recently held a meeting in a phone box.
Don’t you mean American Football? Go Tottingham Haaaatspursss!!!!
So if the stadium becomes half empty, they don’t sell any overpriced tat and expensive food and beverages and we get relegated, how will that effect our ability to service debt?
I like the self sustaining club idea. Levy uses it as a cover up though. A self sustaining club wouldn’t spend 1b cash it doesn’t have on a stadium when it had a great one and had gone undefeated at home the season before, finishing in top 3
Or invest in a cloning clinic to give us 5 kanes and 5 hojbjergs in front of lloris
For those levy enic and Lewis fans who are left the recent report which shows only the glaziers take more out and put less into the club than enic. Oh yes they will say we are are proper run club with a superb stadium. To that I say we are a club run to make the owners richer than they already are or need by using money from anybody but themselves to finance their investment. You can’t class training facilities or a stadium as trophies. I say it again these lot are easily on par although I think worse than Irvine scholar.
A good question MS, but whilst the club can meet its financial obligations, specifically its debt repayment schedules, the answer is no. In addition to which there is also the matter of the value of the club’s assets exceeding its total debt, which again would preclude its technical insolvency, in the unlikely event of any forced liquidation.
So does that mean that we have finally done a Leeds after all?
We are a ‘self-sustaining’ club, as Levy recently euphemistically described us, (translation = one where the owners invest none of their own money in the club!). The club therefore needs a constant stream of revenue from external sources or (conveniently understated by the diminutive little charlatan) copious amounts of debt financing to ‘sustain’ it! Lest some are in any doubt, that would naturally be debt financing collateralised against the assets of THFC, at no personal liability to Messrs Levy and Lewis.
Therefore the revenue streams that sustain our ‘self-sustaining’ property empire (excuse me … football club!) would be TV revenue, advertising monies, Champion’s League participation revenue (sorry, scratch that last!), a lucrative stadium naming rights bonanza (pardon me, my ENIC script was accidentally erased!) and of course a compliant stream of ‘mug punters’ (oh, I didn’t see that line was redacted … I mean valued customers!) willing to fill ENIC’s coffers with season-ticket revenue, merchandise purchases, stadium concession purchases, etc.
The only problem with this duplicitous vision of self-enrichment concocted by Lewis and Levy is when the ‘mug punters’ start to see through the charade and realise that they are being fleeced by avaricious owners whose sole interest ultimately lies in lining their own pockets. Well, finally, ‘the peasants are revolting’ and these globalist oligarchs that hold our club in their thrall are feeling the pressure, so let’s ‘up the ante’. The only way to rid ourselves of these parasitic profiteers, is to ratchet up the pressure to sell at every level and to hit them where it hurts, in the pocket. ENIC OUT!
Why should the fans spend a lot of money in the shop to watch mediocre players, sign some top quality stars and they might just start spending again. Although I want ENIC OUT before I spend again, I’ve had enough of this lot, Levy, Lewis and all.
Soccer!!
The owners have no empathy with the fanbase, their insular bubble is concocted of pure greed. They see the club as a business and cash cow.
Go Team ENIC NFL!
About blooming time these twitter numpties saw sense. I don’t know why people take so much notice of what they say anyway, most of them are immature knee jerkers. The sensible stuff gets said on here.
But Levy has worked so hard at destroying our image even these braindead “go Spurs go” types have seen through him. About time too.
GO TEAM HOTSPUR!!!!
Good old football eh!?
