Tottenham among Premier League teams battling for La Liga midfielder

Tottenham has been linked with a move for Real Betis star, William Carvalho, as the midfielder looks to test himself in the Premier League reports Transfer20.

Carvalho has had a long-standing interest from the Premier League since he was in the Portuguese topflight with Sporting CP.

However, he decided to move to Spain two seasons ago to continue developing his game.

He is now looking for a fresh challenge according to the report and he could be on the move in the summer.

The report also claims that several Premier League sides would look to sign him when the transfer window reopens, however, Tottenham is the only top-six team that has shown interest in him.

It claims that Jose Mourinho could move Tanguy Ndombele on in the summer to make room for the midfielder.

Ndombele has struggled to make an impression in the Premier League in his first campaign.

The Frenchman has been in poor form and he has repeatedly been accused of not doing enough by Jose Mourinho.

Barcelona has been linked with a move for the Frenchman and Mourinho could be tempted to sell him and bring Carvalho in.

Carvalho has spent much of this campaign on the treatment table with a back problem, but Betis would still look to get around 30 million Euros from his sale.

Injured, no thanks, not another Lamela. With money so tight we can’t afford to make mistakes. So make sure you do your homework, no eating, dental, fitness, temperament or other problems. Tanguy won’t bring in the money paid, too many red flags so he’s going nowhere.

I reckon we’ll regret selling Tanguy in a few years if we do. So Jose wants a team of athletic grafters rather than ball players. Which is yet another reason why he’s the wrong manager for Spurs…
