Tottenham ace becomes the top transfer target for English club after impressive season

By Mehdi Gokal -

Leeds United have made Tottenham defender Joe Rodon their top transfer priority for the upcoming transfer window.

The 26-year-old has been a key player for Leeds since joining the club on loan in the summer, playing a crucial role in their fight to secure promotion to the top flight.

Rodon has been a mainstay in Leeds’ lineup this season, making 41 appearances for them, establishing himself as one of the best defenders in the Championship this season.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke has claimed that the Whites have the option to sign the Welshman on a permanent deal.

He said:

“I think the priority for Leeds will be to secure some of those loan signings, Joe Rodon being the number one priority, to make that deal permanent, if they do go up.”

“I think there is an option in his contract to do that if they want to, especially if they get promoted.”

Tottenham urged to sell Rodon

It has been previously reported that the club are ready to part ways with the defender for the right offer.

Tottenham are said to seeking a transfer fee in the range of £12-15 million for him. However, Daniel Levy has been urged by club insider John Wenham to offload Rodon in the upcoming transfer window for whatever fee they can secure for him.
