Premier League striker is currently on £110,000 pwk, what sort of pay cut might he expect if he signed for Spurs?

According to Alan Nixon for The Sun, Bournemouth are looking at an end of season fire sale, should relegation strike, and Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have shortlisted at least one Cherries’ name this summer.

Josh King, David Brooks, Jefferson Lerma and Aaron Ramsdale are all thought to be prepared to exit the Championship bound side.

Striker Callum Wilson is the name in the Tottenham frame according to Nixon. Wilson has so far returned 8 goals this term from his 34 outings.

This leads us back to the Harry Kane understudy conversation once more. My inclination is to let Jose Mourinho sort this one out, as many will be pondering exactly where Spurs will be left should Harry leave next summer.

For my money, the business of signing up yet another mediocre second striker feels like repeating the same mistake whilst expecting a different outcome (apologies to Albert Einstein).

Whatever Spurs do decide to do, they must remember the value of churning the squad, and some have undoubtedly been on the books for too long without making the return we might have hoped for.

I think the problem Is that strikers don’t come cheap!

I wonder if discount Danny will ever do anything about this problem? The man is as stubborn as a mule and the more call there is for a decent back up striker the more he seems to refuse to do it. He’s definitely got a mental problem going on in his little bald bonce, Can’t he be sectioned?

We don’t just need a backup striker, we need a second Striker. Harry, Wilson and The Parrot, that’s Ok by me.

Lerma’s a dirty Cnut, not him.

Which beggars the question why does discount Danny perpetuate and make the problem worse by stubbornly refusing to pay for a back up? Does he enjoy seeing Kane in agony or something? Perhaps he’s some sort of a sadist.

He’s a striker and he’ll be in demand so he’ll not be taking a pay cut. We know what will happen if you play Harry Kane every game, four serious injuries in three years.

It’s not as simple as that, if Jose rated Troy at this moment in time he’d be making regular appearances by now from the subs bench I would have thought. It was noteworthy that he didn’t even start when we had no striker this season. Because we produced one world class striker it doesn’t mean the next one will follow, in fact the odds are massively stacked against that happening. However I think he deserves being given a chance especially when you look at some of the bang average strikers we’ve been linked with.

We just need to get someone in who can do the job. A top striker would be ideal so we could rest Kane when required. It’s crazy how much we ask of Kane, how many minutes he has to play. We need a Gabriel Jesus type who can do the job almost as well.

No guarantees with this. Kane is a one off. I’d love for Troy to turn into a great player for us but I gather he could have an attitude problem.

Jose. Our PL2 outfit needs a shake up. Wayne Burnett needs to be found something else to do. Offer R van der vart a job.

Harry wasn’t as good as troy as a teenager, so hopefully it won’t take troy so long to really kick on. Troy will be first team regular by 20. 21 22 23 smashing it. Harry started at 22 I think. 23 is the magic number.
