“Some site or other (Team Talk) has Frank praising Tel and encouraging Levy to sign him up quickly.
This does not bode well.”
Billy Tonsils, TheBoyHotspur
This is a fear that needs to be discussed with Frank. He’s positioned himself perfectly for a Spurs to come along and bump his bank balance, but how will he survive with the stark reality of working under Levy?
Tel isn’t good enough in the opinion of just about anyone outside his immediate family, yet THFC appears hellbent upon lashing tens of millions on the boy.
Every player who isn’t quite good enough on the grass is another potential reason why your career at Spurs is likely to be shortened.
At Brentford, Frank has steadily kept the side improving in terms of how attacking they could be, and it could be argued that the results were modest, simply because the players were not exactly household names.
His direction of travel was away from toss and towards quality.
By attaching oneself to players such as Mathys Tel, Bryan Gil, Ben Davies, Richarlison, and Dominic Solanke will only cause you bother. None of these players is going to aid your chances. Throw Yves Bissouma into the mix, and then one is looking at a situation where prayers are offered up in the hour mark, begging for no injuries.
What will bode well is that Frank is making better tactical decisions about his squad than Thick Dundee did or ever might.

Domestic abuse needs to be avoided
If he doesn’t, we’ll be all set for a swift rewind and repeat.
Out of the domestic cups because we’ve had to rest the linchpin players that keep us afloat, then it’s eyes down to that race to get as high in the division as possible.
Organised chaos.
The list of players who are not linchpin standard is too long. They have delivered such modest returns, such as a seventeenth-place finish after winning a knockout competition where all our opponents were incredibly poor.
Spurs under Frank is a promising appointment, but the reality is, Pochettino, Mourinho, and Conte (who all have better CVs) were undone by LevyWorld™ players whose reputations far exceeded their footballing talents.
Frank can’t just offload duff players, but he will have to show himself to be far cannier than his predecessors, which means tactically, he’s going to need to get it right. Not a little bit right, but really right.
With any good fortune, ENIC will sell this summer, and that endeavour will be significantly aided by the removal of Johnny Bad Times, aka Daniel Levy.
