The Athletic are reporting that Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is no longer a top priority for Tottenham in the summer window.
Spurs links to the 26-year-old had intensified in recent weeks, with Football Insider even claiming that a lucrative contract offer had been prepared to secure a player whose current deal at Bournemouth expires in June.
The Scotland international is expected to be hot property, with lots of clubs searching for suitable free transfers and loans amidst the anticipated chaos caused by Covid-19 on the market. The Athletic don’t dismiss Fraser as an option for us but stress that the stronger interest is being shown by mid-table sides such as Everton, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Watford.
And that’s about Fraser’s level. He had an outstanding 2018-19 campaign with seven goals in 14 assists in the Premier League but his average level is not good enough for the top six, and he wouldn’t offer us anything on top of our current wide options which are healthy enough without any additions.
