Let’s run through those numbers again, shall we, just for gits and shizzles 69 days have passed since the sacking of the Portuguese Pulis, and in which time Spurs have been linked with, by varying sports press both foreign and domestic, no less than eleven potential managers.
One social media account went as far as to construct this ‘Spurs XI’.
Ryan Mason at the wheel for now, it would appear, and one has to question what true benefit this is having upon the squad? This photo was uploaded by Mason today, however, given Gareth Bale’s involvement, it is more likely that Ryan is using the snap to announce his return.
This is all so depressing. How can fans who pay the highest prices in the PL be treated like this? We don’t want a shopping mall, mile long bar, cheese room or sky walkways and climbing walls, we want a team that can compete on an equal footing with the other top 6, or even top 10 now. Either give us that or admit we are no longer a big 6 team and stop scamming us financially.
Yes, Grealish now possibly going for 100 million and I think Celtic tried to get McGinn for about one and a half million before Villa stepped in. My God, there are some dunderheads among the CEO’s of our football clubs.
What formation is that that they are playing in?!!!
If Belgium win it, the World Cup is next year. Surely Martinez would want a crack at the WC?
Grealish I completely agree with you
Re: Vlahovic I did say pay the extra with the Kane money and I don’t think Schick would be doing what he is now if he came to the Epl when he was 26m….like I said just my opinion.
The art of being successful in the recruitment market is to buy potential and take a risk. Look at Monchi’s and Luis Campos’s successes and how much they have earnt their clubs. Ask yourself how much is Schick going to be worth at the end of the Euros? Grealish is a good example of our utterly useless recruitment strategy. Levy offers Villa £3 mill and Onomah as he tried to take advantage of Villa’s then precarious financial circumstances. He will probably sign for City for circa £100 mill. Another great example of Levy’s fruitless penny wise, pound foolish strategy. Levy is good at buying cr*p like Clinton Cards and N’ Clueless. He should stick to counting the bog rolls in the executive boxes, it’s all he good at. As for Vlahovic , he will go for much more money than 26 mill and will probably go to Juventus, not us.
Reality is we would only spend 26m on a player if we sell Kane and if we do I would pay the extra and get Vlahovic
Would I take him now yes but put it another way do you think Vinicius could score 11 goals in a season in the Bundesliga….
It was less than a year ago that he signed for Bayer Leverkusen. Surely an upgrade on Carlos Vinicius!
Schicks having a good tournament but I think he needed those couple of years rebuilding in the Bundesliga and I don’t think he would have been successful If he came to the EPL at that point….just my view.
I still think that Mason is holding the fort until Belgium get knocked out and Martinez is appointed. We clearly do not have the money to buy out any manager currently employed and this does not augur well for our transfer activity. Just to think we could have bought Patrik Schick for €26,500,000 last September, a name I kept championing and he’s only twenty five years old. You don’t have to spend silly money to sign good players, you just have to be smart in the transfer market. Unfortunately for the Spurs fans, we have the poisoned dwarf as head of recruitment.
At least Bournemouth have the courage to take a punt on Parker although as he’s English, he was never in the running anyway. Klinsman will be on the list & would have been way down. He’ll be near the top now though.
I’ve worked with him, my friend. Being u23 manager is a very different job to the first team manager. For one, you have no daily dealing with the bald megalomaniac. You report to the academy director in most instances and the first team coach to report player progression.
Mason is quite obviously talking about coaching the academy players, not the senior ones. If he was told by Levy that he’d coaching the senior ones then he wouldn’t be posting on Instagram about it because it’s such an awful look for the club.
I have met Ryan and he is certainly no yes man my friend; he is really quite steely, but I am also pretty sure he is not getting the gig!
Pretty sure he is going to be involved, no matter who takes over, so no great surprise!
He’s a disillusional megalomaniac…..should be a bond villian!!
Posted by Mason today.
Did you even bother reading the text?
This is an old photo – stop messing about
He’ll think they’re cheering him for all the good works he’s done for the club.
He believes he’s loved by the fans and is doing a fantastic job.
I still think he is holding the fort for Martinez, not that his appointment will be much consolation. There is clearly no money to hire an employed manager or any one with ambition. This does not augur well for next season.
Can’t wait for the first game of the season to hear all the abuse Levy will get and watch him squirm
Said weeks ago, Mason was nailed on, probably have Ledley as his No2.
Two yes men who’ll do they’re told and won’t rock the boat.
Levy has managed to drag us to even lower depths. Amazing when you think he’s hit rock bottom he goes again.
