Thierry Henry states West Ham United, Tottenham dropping points ‘best thing’ for Arsenal

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur had a rough week last week when they endured two losses against opponents below them in the Premier League table, putting a damper on their top-four hopes.

Former France international and Arsenal forward Thierry believes that his former club is in the driver seat for that final spot to play UEFA Champions League football next season.

Arsenal didn’t play this weekend because of Chelsea’s Club World Cup commitments, so with Tottenham and West Ham United dropping points this past weekend, Henry said The Gunners were winners despite not playing a match.

Henry stated that if Arsenal doesn’t secure the fourth-place finish, their season will be considered a failure considering they only sit four points behind Manchester United with three games in hand.

“The best thing about Arsenal is that they didn’t play,” Henry said on CBS Sports (via HITC). “West Ham didn’t take advantage of it. Tottenham has never take advantage of it.”

“But Arsenal had to go and win at Wolves. That was a massive win, so there are still a lot of games to go. For me, if they don’t do it, as I said at the start of the season, then it will be a failure.”

Arsenal and Tottenham will face one more time this season, so Spurs will also hope to use the games in hand to make up ground on the other clubs that are ahead of them in the race for a top-four spot.

Before I moved here I had a copy of that photo of him celebrating on his knees in front of the Spurs fans only to remind me of the pure hatred etched into their faces. That and the photo of Dave MacKay assaulting Bremner.
Having said that he is spot on any fool can see that as it stands today momentum is with the Gaylords (can I use the word Gaylord?).
It looks like Goons/Manure and then WHam and Spurs to fight it out over 6th.

Come on Tonio our defending has got worse under you time to earn your money.
