THFC Inadvertently Reveal One Player Who Won’t Be Here Next Season | image

Tottenham’s public relations are up to their usual standards with this effort ahead of this afternoon’s Italy versus Wales game (kick-off at 5 pm).

Quite what would be so complete about simply announcing Gareth Bale’s departure in a friendly and good-natured manner, opposed to just pretending he doesn’t exist anymore is anyone’s guess…

Sadly, this is how the club operates, and it is difficult to even feign surprise.

Thanks for all the goals against pub sides, Gareth, and the very best for your well-feathered retirement.

It now seems that after all that running around in Italy and razzamataz about Paratici etc that we are going to settle for Nuno. This would have taken one phone call and been settled weeks ago without making the club the laughing stock of the football world. Perhaps the only thing Levy could do to save himself fro the fans’wrath is to persuade Joe Lewis to increase the share capital of THFC by two hundred million to be spent on new players. Unlikely to happen I know but one can dream no?

Not standing out? Wales have qualified for the knockout stages of the tournament which is an overachievement in part because in the game they needed to win he made both goals and indeed won the penalty that he missed. Don’t tell me Turkey are a pub side.
As for his fitness well I think it’s fair to say that under Jose physical fitness wasn’t the greatest priority. Hence the fact that Ndom and Le celso were always subbed on the hour.

I guess if you come off the bench and play against Sheffield United you might get a few goals. Same against all the other lower teams. I see against Italy he showed his class with another terrible miss. Yes he is definitely getting noticed at the euros, a terrible penalty and then today against the Italians. Ha.

Highest goals per minute ratio last season of all Premier League players is . . . . . . . . . . wait for it . . . . . . . . . . . Gareth Bale.

Bale has scored goals at every single level he has played at, he scored 16 goals for a very dis functional Spurs team, ratio of minutes to goals best in Prem

I understand he is not what he once was however he is still an outstanding player relative of what some people think

Taking the Bale baiting a bit too far with this one IMO. He’s not a Spurs player, hasn’t been for a long time. Yes he was on loan with us for a season but that ended when the final whistle blew in the Leicester game.

I think it would have been weirder to include him in this image.

Anyways, good luck to him and all the boyos, Spurs or otherwise!

I would not say standing out unless you are talking about that penalty miss. He has been ok nothing more. Lets see how this world class player fares against Italy.

He could try going to the gym getting fit. It was obvious even stevie wonder could see bale was miles from being fit when he came to us. Try watching his play when he first came worse than dier and that’s saying something. Other than Leicester all the other goals were against the bottom clubs. Considering he had kane son ndombele and le celso to feed of I would have expected him to get goals. Hardly troubled City, Liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea or united. Again remember what we were paying him per week.

Maybe if Gareth had put the effort into keeping himself fit so he could play 80 minutes when he came to us he would have got games. Play a player because he used to be a big name or because we are paying him a ridiculous wage. Up to the players to keep the fitness on the pitch not the golf course.

Dier is not English. Yes he used to play for the national team but he is not classed as homegrown. Started his career in Portugal or something. So he gladly can be dumped.

At 200+ a week wonder what the cost per goal is for that wonder season. It was less than great Gareth thanks and good luck.

How can you do anything at the top level playing for Villa or not being played for England?

Leicester City aren’t a pub side and his 2 goals won us the match and got us the 3 points to sail into the heady heights of the European Conference league.
Also tbf these lower sides are often the ones we have struggled to beat in the past, so overall I’d say a vital contribution.

You’re right about English players and in most cases it is entirely unwarrented.

That’s why if we were to get rid of Winks and Dier we would still need their replacements to be English and that would need Levy to spend more than he would prefer.

Get ready to see pretty much the same squad turning out for us next season, probably with Mason in charge again. In Levy we trust…….NOT.

You make a fair point. He reacted tin he same way with Zidane,ha has shown that for whatever reason he is more than happy to sit on the bench and hoover up 600K/week.As he sees it he was able to get his fitness up for the Euros without having to exert himself.

City in for Grealish….94 million record deal??! Levy wouldn’t pay 6 hahahahaha!!

Really though, old Jack is a good player but he ain’t that good. That’s pretty mad money, he’s done nothing at top level to warrant that money.

These young England players are waaaaaaaay overated and over hyped. Absolutely to the max.

He is officially a Real Madrid player, let’s not forget. Not for Spurs to be wishing him luck..

Joe morrell looked decent the other day. Better than Winks. May fit in well in the midfield. Not to sidewaysy backwardsy and picks his passes nicely and precisely. Not to pricey either I expect….Levy would like that of course. Morrell and Pierre Emile Kordt Hojbjerg the 1st would be a nice balanced base to a midfield.

Thanks for all the goals against pub sides Gareth
Really, but at least he scored goals that the other mugs couldn’t score

Gareth is standing out in the Euros because he is still a quality player and if Jose would have played him instead of the battle of the egos he might still be in the job
