According to Football Insider, Tottenham and Antonio Conte are set to part ways this summer on a ‘mutually agreed’ basis.
The Italian’s contract ends at the end of the season and even though they have an option to trigger a one year extension, it looks increasingly unlikely that the club will be extending his contract.
Conte who has a reputation of winning a trophy for every club he has managed has lost all chances of a silverware this season after the club were knocked out of all domestic and European competitions.
The report claims that there are ‘whispers’ around the club that the Italian is ready to leave the club and that that the club has already started preparing for life without the Italian.
The club has already started looking for replacements with former manager Mauricio Pochettino the favourite to land the job.
Other managers linked with the job include, Roberto De Zerbi, Thomas Tuchel, and Luis Enrique.
Conte himself is not expecting to be at the club for long with him admitting that the club could sack him before the end of the season.
He joined Spurs last year replacing Nuno Espirito Santo and guided Spurs to a strong top 4 finish securing them Champions League football. This season they started strongly too and enjoyed their best start to the Premier League and at one point looked like title challengers.
But their season has derailed. They have been knocked out of all competitions and finishing top four looks to be a challenging task too now with Liverpool picking up momentum and breathing down their necks.
