The Latest Videos Suggest Marcus Edwards Could Be Back On Poch’s Radar

By The Boy -

Spurs fans have been super interested in the career of Marcus Edwards and rightly so.

He is without doubt, one of our own.

SuperJan t shirt

The young lad not only scored in this game versus FC Emmen but also the assets for the winner!

Are things beginning to click at last for the 20 year old?

Edwards’ was previously on loan to Norwich City when last seen on English shores.

Alas, the young man was incapable of even turning up on time for training sessions at Carrow Road.

Surely nobody would be shocked to see Edwards’ back on Pochettino’s radar?

Here’s a thing. If he hadn’t been to private football school (academy) at a young age and was spotted on hackney marshes as a late teenager then schooled he’d have a better attitude. He’s spoilt mate.

Practically impossible to disagree with most of that.

Adel Tarrabt was probably more naturally gifted than both Eriksen and Edwards but he had an off attitude. He had unbelievable ability but his career was a patchwork or fits and starts.

Had his attitude been right who knows what he could have been? Edwards making it will depend on being 100% professional, so far the reports on that aren’t good.

Natural ability doesn’t mean shit, without the right mentality…

It’s all about the immediate quality of what you replace an experienced quality player with. Selling a player in their mid to late 20’s or early 30’s and replacing them with a player under 23 will never fill the void within their first three seasons. That’s assuming they come good on their potential at all…

I do realize the level he’s playing at, against lesser players, he’s also playing with lesser players You put him in the new lane with great players around him and he’ll show ya. He’s a show off, spot light player now leaning how to be a team player player. (He’s even helping out at the back) Once he feels the love from our fans there’ll be no stopping him at TOTTENHAM. “He can find his way through parked buses for Christs sake!!!! “Mini messi? Mini cooper more like.

Though if by some stupid insanity of a bean counter I had to choose 1 out of 3 to keep. Jan all day long. His last week not withstanding, hes been a great servant of the club. I like Sanchez but hes too easily pushed off the ball. Same as foyth who’s still learning his trade. Speed around an experienced Cb who knows how to read the game & bring in that life saving crunching tackle. It cant be overstated how important he is. We could survive possibly with losing 2 out of 3. Not all

I had a tete a tete with someone on a blog claiming to be his mum just before this loan, she claimed that the Norwich move, and then this loan shook him. He had made mistakes, he thought basically he was a pro already, but the loan to Holland shook him that Spurs would consider it. So perhaps this has stuck? Or maybe its just a very poor standard of league?

I’d love to see Edwards become the ‘English Messi’ but how long would that take if it ever happened?

Replacing Eriksen with him isn’t even a conversation any sane person should be having!

If your argument is we cant buy anyone that would replace are first 11 while watching 3 of our first 11 run down contracts & leave……its one or the other guys. You cant applaud not spending money on transfers while losing the heart of our defense. Eriksen can at times infuriate me, but he is a world class midfielder that would be hard to replace. Toby, jan, Erik, no cheese room……might be to much to take

I’m not even eriksen biggest fan, but to suggest replacing him with this boy can only make sense in levy land. Which is to say it probably is the way it will go. He will end up filling a number on the back of the programme, with Carter vickers and onomah. Makes it look like we have a squad then. Even tho I’m not his biggest fan, I accept plenty love him, and I’d have thought Daniel would have seen the prudence in paying him the going rate. Simple formula Daniel. If he’s worth 100m, he must be worth in excess of 150k a week I’d have thought. And while your at it, there’s a couple of Belgians at the back who look half decent…

Good luck to Edwards for going abroad and growing and learning about the world. Got to keep working but ready to replace Eriksen? Not quite I would wager!

Excelsiors last 2 matches have been against 2 of the newly promoted sides, last week they were bumped 4-1 and this week a narrow sauerkraut with Edwards doing something at last. Emmen are not a quality opposition of course but that won’t stop Levy from seeing him as tin tins replacement. License to print money this football chairman game….💰💰💲

Levys replacement for Eriksen with zero net spend. He will be frothing at the mouth at the prospect of flogging the Dane for £100 million and not spending a penny on Edwards.
