The #KeepItTottenham Podcast Asks: Do You Realise Just How Good José Mourinho Is For You?

By The Boy -

The Boy is back and temporarily stone cold sober, as matter of fact. We’re a few shows in and the good news is we’ve found our bowling length, she’s the Token Bird and I’m the bloke with the made up name – and this works.

The main thrust is trying to explain just how exciting the Tottenham versus Manchester City game, and just how sorrowful it must be for those fans that still do not quite get the whole José Mourinho ting yet!

Even Tim Sherwood gets what has happened and this (as I make painfully clear) is something that ought to seriously alarm those that are still making up reasons as to why Mourinho is a bad thing.

What the Portuguese has put together so far, in his first season with his own players is comparatively remarkable.

These shows are a regular thing, and we’re looking for audience participation from other sentient adults. If think you’re polished enough to speak out on a show that is published on a Spurs blog that does in excess of million clicks a month, then get in touch and demand a berth. We’ve already got some great voices lined up. You could join them.

All the new shows are here.

Enjoyed. I need to give it another good listen to really absorb it, even though the basic message is simple and obvious: Spurs went into that match with full intent on winning it. They played like they expected to win that match.

There was no parking of any bus (or any other useless analogy,) and there was no intention of a draw. Spurs planned that match out to absorb pressure, entice City to the outside, outnumber on the inside, and hit them on the counter.

Spurs planned out how to build a few high-percentage opportunities into the match, and they capitalised on them.

It was an amazing display of a blueprint that went exactly correctly. A winning plan.
