‘The deal is absolutely on’ Fabrizio is convinced on one potential Spurs transfer

By Mehdi Gokal -

Fabrizio Romano believes Bayern have back-up options in case a deal for Kane does not work out but he is convinced the ‘deal is absolutely on’.

The Harry Kane transfer saga continues to be a focal point of speculation, with Bayern Munich reportedly making significant efforts to secure the striker’s services.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern does have backup options in case the deal for Kane falls through.

However, Romano is convinced that the deal for Kane is “absolutely on,” and the German club’s focus remains fully on acquiring the English forward.

While some may wonder why Kane has not publicly expressed his desire to join Bayern, Romano believes that such a stance might not necessarily be the best approach.

Going public with a transfer request may not influence Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s decision-making, and it hasn’t proven successful in the past.

Romano claims that although Kane is open to leaving Spurs this summer, he has left it all on the clubs to decide. While he would love to join Bayern Munich, he is not desperate to leave Tottenham if the transfer cannot be finalized.

Romano wrote in the latest The Daily Briefing column:

“What happens if Bayern Munich miss out on Harry Kane after putting a lot of time and effort into the deal? Obviously, the club have backup options but nothing is advanced as they are still chasing Kane. I’m told Bayern’s focus remains fully on Kane and while I’m writing this, the deal is absolutely on. The only answer I am getting from Bayern is: focus on Kane.”

“Many ask why Kane is not going public with his wish to join Bayern Munich this summer, with the feeling being that it will help the move materialise; for me, I’m not sure that going public and asking for a move would be the best way to go about things. You may remember that two years ago that kind of stance didn’t work regarding the Man City move. Daniel Levy will never make a decision based on that kind of thing.”

“Kane is very open to leaving Tottenham this summer, but he leaves things to the clubs. He’d love to join Bayern but he’s absolutely not desperate to leave Tottenham if the move can’t be finalised.”

Harry Kane once against showed his quality and importance to the the club as he scored 4 out of the 5 goals Spurs scored in the friendly against Shakhtar Donetsk earlier today.

Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham put in an absolutely dominant performance as they thrashed their opponents 5-1.

Their final pre-season friendly is against Barcelona tomorrow and the club are expected to also use the opportunity to discuss a deal for Clement Lenglet.
