The rumour that Bale might be on Conte’s, and so Tottenham’s radar once more emanates from the okdiario.com journalist, Eduardo Inda. Inda apparently told El Chiringuito TV that Conte is keen to bring Bale back to London. Again.
Given we have already seen what the reality of this means, I am frankly bewildered that anyone would see this as a good idea. Furthermore, I find it staggering to imagine that Antonio Conte would be vaguely interested in a player that struggles to maintain even basic levels of fitness, and would ultimately demand a significant chunk of club funds for wages.
Sure, this is a prospective deal awash with romance, but in the cold light of day, Bale only shone against lesser opponents and frequently looked past his sell-by date.
I take a view that Tottenham’s form remains on a trajectory pointed at relegation, and it might benefit all concerned if we began focusing on mastering the basics, opposed to daydreaming about chasing rainbows.
I’m sure the rose tinted bed wetters will be over joyed at this news.
No thanks !
Good player even now – who scored some very important goals for us in last season’s loan spell, the big problem are his injuries again which seemingly get worse every year, it’s currently his knee and he hasn’t played for RM since September, Can’t see Levy splashing the cash for a treatment room addict.
I guess with Bale’s contract running down this year they want to put out soe feelers to see who might bite.No thanks.
Added to the above points is the huge hamstring tear that has seen Bale out for over 3 months…These boots were made for walking ..Bales and Antonio’s.
No thanks Gareth.
Not sure Bale is the answer to our problems, maybe if he played in the Eriksen role? Also not if he’s on 400k a week or whatever
parasites replicate, can’t create. hence the rehashed narratives . c’mon people
Case for using the wages you’d spend on Bale on other recruits end the argument.
Then the circus he bought last season.
I could go on
but
It’s a no
I agree H, I cannot see this being a starter given Conte’s exhausting conditioning regimen and rigorous training sessions and Bale’s declining physical condition as his career winds down.
Actually, at the end of last season, having recovered form and fitness, I would have been fine with Bale coming back for the last year of his RM contract with us, just because his goal tally in the Europa and against lesser EPL teams would have justified it.
However, to revisit that scenario now, especially after Bale’s recent injury and the kind of money he would demand, would make no sense at all.
What does that of to do with Spurs? I read this tripe on some other site.
