Tottenham Hotspur crashed to a 3-0 defeat against Fulham in the Premier League in the last outing.
A number of players put on a disappointing display for the North London club, but talkSPORT pundit Paul Hawksbee has now slammed the performance of Yves Bissouma.
The 27-year-old defensive midfielder was outstanding for Tottenham during the first half of the season, but he seems lost his rhythm in recent weeks. Bissouma was wasteful in possession and he left gaps in the midfield for the Fulham players to exploit.
The Tottenham midfielder’s sloppiness cost his team during the game and Hawksbee believes that the player had a nightmare outing.
He said on talkSPORT: “I was saying to get Bentancur on, Bissouma was having a mare. It seemed a whole team that was just sloppy.”
Bissouma will be fully aware of his mediocre performance in a crucial game and it remains to be seen whether he can bounce back strongly and get back to his best once again.
Tottenham are at the business end of the season and they cannot falter now if they want to secure Champions League qualification. After a vital win over Aston Villa, they were expected to build on the result and put together a winning run.
They are currently fifth in the league table and they will be desperate to finish in the top four. With Aston Villa already ahead of them in the table, Tottenham cannot afford to keep dropping points. It remains to be seen whether they can get their act together and put on consistent displays until the end of the season.
