Ange Postecoglou was full of praise for Yves Bissouma for his yet another solid performance against Bournemouth.
Tottenham secured a 2-0 win thanks to goals from James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski. Maddison opened the scoring early in the first half with a slick finish from a top-class Pape Matar Sarr assist.
And Dejan Kulusevski sealed the win late in the game after brilliant play between Son, and Destiny Udogie.
The manager has however singled out Bissouma’s performance who has been a completely different player under the Australian.
Ange stated that while there were some sloppy moments from the former Brighton midfielder, he has become an important player for the team.
Speaking on TNT Sports, he said:
“Biss obviously had a disappointing year last year and was looking for a new start for himself today. He was great again today.”
“There were a couple of moments where he got a bit sloppy with our possession and there are still areas of his game he can improve.
“But he’s such a clever player and if we want to play out, that pivot position becomes really important for us.”

Bissouma has been a breath of fresh air for the Tottenham midfield. He has become an instant Ange favourite as reported by Alasdair Gold, who stated that Postecoglou “loves him.”
His debut season with Spurs, following his £25 million move from Brighton, was marred by injuries and difficulties adapting to former manager Antonio Conte’s tactics.
But he has found his old form back and from what we have seen so far, it is quite evident that he is going to be one of the most important players for Tottenham this season.
