Steve Hitchen Was Scouting An Outstanding RDMF Last Night

The man that hates his job (see All or Nothing for details) was at Carrow Road last night, watching Oliver Skipp’s progress at Norwich City. No apologies from me for bringing you more Oliver Skipp magic. At 19-years of age, this boy is worth keeping an eye on, and it looks as if the news of the ever improving Skipp has even reached Hitchen’s ears.

Quite how the Hertfordshire Pirlo would cut it in the Premier League is another matter, but at this rate, we’ll soon find out as he’s doing his level best to ensure the Canaries get promoted this season.

What a ball, a sublime piece of vision from Skippy

Superb attacking pass, there were lesser options open to him, but Ollie knew where the ball needed to be.

Harry Kane would be proud of this move, took the ball forward and when the options became limited, took the contact.

More, please.

Tackles harder than Winks and passes better than Sissoko. But wonder where he would fit in as a starter at Spurs. Looks like Norwich often play in a 4231 system with Skipp as one of two holding midfielders. If so, great. Jose as well looks to prefer a 4231 set up, even though he had success with the 343 against Sheffield.

Probably better for him to be playing regularly right now, but he’d have been useful for us this season in that form. Got to be a better option than Sissoko or even Winks, although different kind of player.

Future spurs captain and England regular. Can remember him at the lamex Vs Liverpool. He had D sturidge in his pocket. He was about 17. He just wouldn’t let him come inside. Skippy just kept forcing him out wide.

Skipp is on loan isnt he? I thought he was – would be good if he can replicate this in the PL. To have a player like him coming through, if trajectory continues could be huge.
