Squad player willing to do what it takes to make a name for himself at Spurs

By Bruce Grove -

Joe Hart has reiterated that he is willing to give his best for the cause as a player of Tottenham.

The former England number one was a surprising summer signing by Jose Mourinho who needed an experienced backup for Hugo Lloris.

Hart has now become the club’s second choice moving ahead of Paulo Gazzaniga in the pecking order.

He has also been trusted by his new manager in cup games, and he is one player that will contribute if Spurs wins a trophy this season.

His career has been going downhill since he was ousted as the number one at Manchester City following the arrival of Pep Guardiola as their manager.

He couldn’t even beat Nick Pope to the number one spot at Burnley before he moved to Spurs on a free transfer.

He was speaking to the BBC and he revealed that Mourinho just wants the best from his players and that is what he tries to give as a player for the tactician.

Hart said: “Jose is very clever at how he works the media. He is a different guy in his own environment, with his own players. He asks you to give your best and show your quality. That is how I work.

“I don’t claim to be the most talented guy in the world but I will give it everything.

“Trust works both ways. He definitely gives that and I enjoy working with him.”
