Spurs XI vs Sheffield United

By The Boy -

Sheffield United host Tottenham Hotspur in match-day 19 of the Premier League on Sunday 17th January, 2:00pm at Bramall Lane. The hosts currently sit in 20th place in the table having beaten Newcastle United 1-0 last time out, while the visitors are in 6th after their 1-1 draw against Fulham.

Winless in our last seven away games against this lot, it is difficult to imagine the levels of pandemonium that might be unleashed should Spurs fail this afternoon – but that remains an unhelpful stat. 70% of Spurs’s last 20 away league games ended with both teams scoring, they won 5, drew 4 and lost 5 of those games.

The ache in all our hearts is perhaps best summed up by the fact that no Premier League side has scored more first half goals this season. 19 in total. On 8 occasions, those goals came in the first 15-minutes!

All eyes on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min who have masterminded 43 of Spurs 81 shots on target this season.

He’s gone. Not on the bench is ridiculous

Go Serge. Son needs to find his finishing again.

Gedson in, Dele out. Is he injured? If not I’d hand in a transfer request. If you don’t want Dele sell him. This is embarrassing.

He’s the best centre half we’ve had in the last 30 years. He’s 31 not 40 ffs. Stop benching him.

Still, inexplicably, leaving out our best CB. Toby Alderweireld has been reponsible for far less goals this season than either Dier or Sanchez.

Toby missing again? Our best defender.

I like the line up… Bit more attacking. Let’s hope reflected in the pitch

I’ve no idea about this one. I was more confident before the Fulham fixture and look how that turned out. Haven’t seen so much of Rodon. No Winks or Sissoko. Responsibility falls to NDombele to pull the strings.
