Tottenham Hotspur starlet Mikey Moore has promised fans he has ‘a lot more to show’ after a promising start to life with the senior team.
Moore is a product of the Spurs youth system and boasts a record of 20 goals and 15 assists in 33 appearances across various developmental levels.
Only turning 17 in August, Moore made two brief substitute appearances in the Premier League last season and has seen his opportunities increase this campaign.
So far, Moore has played 288 minutes across eight appearances in all competitions in 2024/25 and while he’s yet to notch a goal or assist, he’s excited supporters with his speed and skill.
Moore even drew comparisons to Brazilian icon Neymar from Spurs teammate James Maddison following a Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar.
Mikey Moore speaks on his development and Spurs future
Moore was interviewed for Tottenham’s matchday programme for last weekend’s clash with Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
The teenager has made some exciting statements about his future, while also outlining what he must do to continue his development.
“I know I have a lot more to show. Some of my performances have been okay but I still have a lot more to give to help the team. I have that belief in myself to be able to help in any game,” Moore said (via Football.London).
“The big thing for me is scoring my first goal but I think that’ll come – I don’t need to get too desperate for it – so that makes me really excited for the rest of the season. I’m still nowhere near where I want to get to, so I need to carry on with what I’m doing but I always want to stay true to myself as a person.”
He added: “No matter what I do in football, I want to stay humble, keep working hard and that’s the main thing for me as a player and person. When you play football, people don’t really get to see the human side of you but you always want to be a nice person and stay grounded.”
