Spurs Were In Talks This Week With Turbulent Serie A Side

By The Boy -

If Audere Et Facere sometimes makes you wince, spare a thought for Real Betis fans.

Their motto is ¡Viva el Betis aunque pierda! (“Long live Betis even when they lose!”).

Many things that are foreign to the English ear sound exotic, but that aren’t really. Giuseppe Verdi? That’s Joe Green where I come from.

And so Real Betis are no Serie A giants, indeed they are closer to being the Mediterranean’s West Bromwich Albion.

I wonder what ‘Boing Boing‘ is in Spanish.

AS believe that Tottenham have been in talks – this week – with Los Verdiblancos in respect of one Giovani Lo Celso.

The suggestion is that Tottenham would drop £60million of whatever was raised from the sale of Christian Eriksen, on 23 year old Lo Celso, in order to replace the Dane.

Why would the boy come to us?

Aside from the fact we’re the greatest team the world has ever seen, the young Argentine may have been feeling a little suffocated at Betis.

The club’s midfield is a vertitable who’s who of ‘where are they now?’ players, including William Carvlaho, Javi Garcia, Canales, and Guadado, which may explain Lo Celso’s 13 substitution incidents last season.

Is he any good?

How the hell would I know, I’d never heard of him until this week.
