Spurs set to miss out on exciting 19-year-old forward to Celtic

By Bruce Grove -

Celtic is set to beat Tottenham to the signing of Wigan attacker, Kyle Joseph this summer.

The young Scot has been one of their key players since he broke into the first team last year.

He is one player keeping the Latics competitive, but he will be out of a contract at the end of this season and has decided not to sign a new one.

Tottenham signed Alfie Devine from them in the summer and has been keen to add Joseph to their team.

However, Daily Mail via Sun Sports claims that Celtic is ahead of them in the race for his signature.

The Hoops are struggling this season and they are about to see their stranglehold on the Scottish Premier League broken by Rangers who are 21 points clear of them already.

They have already started looking towards next season and joseph is a part of their plans.

He will leave Wigan on a free, however, there will be a small compensation fee, which shouldn’t be a problem for the last season’s Scottish champions to pay.

Spurs have focused on more experienced players in recent transfer windows, but the club also wants to add young talent to their squad.
