The Gareth Bale saga still has a good few months of his loan deal to run and if anyone can find a bookmaker who’ll take the bet, then it sounds like free money to me that there will be at least another flare-up in this tale before the 31-year-old is driven out of Hotspur Way for the last time.
As we saw recently, Bale’s comments made in a Welsh FA presser drew criticism from many quarters, as effectively he insinuated that his season-long loan at Tottenham has been a device in order to get himself in shape for the Euros. In truth, I think the problem with what Bale said was that whilst it was undeniably true, it was unbelievably naive to express it in the manner that he did, as it left his words open to ridicule. So when Jonathan Barnett said his client’s words had been taken out of context, that was incorrect, what actually happened is that Bale lost the run of himself and forgot to ensure what he said couldn’t be picked at. Which it naturally was.
talkSPORT’s Jamie O’Hara was one of many that felt the lad had been disrespectful, and the former Spurs man let slip this insight on Bale, quoted here by The Mirror.

Bale’s quiet arrogance is sadly what his last farewell at Tottenham will be remembered for by many English fans. Many Spanish fans will be saying to themselves, we did warn you…

WORLD CLASS FOOTBALLER SUFFERS “QUIETLY ARROGANT” DESCRIPTION SHOCKER!
Bale scores hattrick to sink Man City in Carabao Cup Final. That’s how I’d like to see Bale bow out.
Agree ,regardless of current situation he was special back in the day.
“I’ve played with Gareth” , count the minutes on one hand maybe Jamie haha !
Bale has explained his previous comments in which he is factually correct , not that it matters of course.
All great Sports men and women have an arrogance about them. In fact, anyone at the top of their game in any walk of life does. They have that belief in themselves that they are better than most in their field. Let’s face it. GB Mk 1 was streets ahead of anyone in the PL.
