Spurs not alone ‘in talks’ for 23-year-old, two other PL rivals keen

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

The 23-year-old was not a regular starter for the Blues last season and he is unlikely to play every game under Mauricio Pochettino.

It makes sense for the midfielder to move on in search of regular playing time and he has been linked with a number of English clubs.

As per 90 Min, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion are all keen on signing the player. Brighton have ‘held talks’ for the player and Spurs ‘are maintaining an interest’.

Gallagher has previously had a loan spell at Crystal Palace and he was outstanding for the Eagles. There is no doubt that he could be a useful Premier League player for most teams.

Spurs need to add more quality and depth to their midfield and the 23-year-old would be a quality acquisition. Gallagher is still quite young, and he is likely to improve further with coaching and experience.

Someone like Ange Postecoglou could get the best out of him in the coming seasons. In addition to that, the 23-year-old is a hard-working midfielder who will add defensive cover, pressing ability and drive to the Tottenham side.

Spurs certainly have a more exciting project at their disposal compared to West Ham and Brighton.

It will be interesting to see if they can beat the competition from the other two Premier League clubs and secure the signature of the Chelsea midfielder in the coming weeks. Gallagher is reportedly valued at £50 million this summer.
