Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga has been linked with a summer exit as Ange Postecoglou build his squad for the upcoming season.
Tanganga was highly rated when he graduated to the first-team squad, but he has struggled to get playing time since.
He barely featured for Tottenham last season as well and his future at the club looks bleak too .
When the Australian was appointed last month it was reported that Tanganga was among the 7 players expected to be shipped off this summer.
Back in January, Tanganga was close to a move away from Spurs, with interest from AC Milan, AS Roma, and Nottingham Forest. However, the move was blocked by then-manager Antonio Conte.
And now fresh interest from Serie A has been reported by Corriere dello Sport (via Sport Witness).
The report claims Atalanta are monitoring his situation as they join the race to sign him alongside AC Milan.
Spurs are hoping to get get £12m from the sale of the the 24-year-old who has a contract with the North London club until the summer of 2025.
A shake up in defense is expected with Ange reportedly keen on signing a couple of centre-backs to strengthen his defense.
Cristian Romero is the only reliable defender at the club right now but they need a solid partner for him.
Meanwhile, besides Tanganga, Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier are also expected to leave.
Spurs had agreed a fee with Spartak Moscow for Sanchez but the player is not keen on a move to Moscow. Galatasaray and Real Betis are the other clubs interested in him.
