Joachim Andersen has been on Tottenham’s radar – along with a good many others for some while.
Back in April Sky Sports acknowledged that Tottenham scouts had been monitoring the young Dane.
Question is, is this 22 year old really ready to replace Toby Alderweireld?
Toby’s come in for what I can only describe as some Dumb Dumb Flack.
He had the audacity to expect market rate wages and the nutjob Levyologists naturally dubbed him as a greedy crock!
How sad.
How predictable.
These are the same clowns within our fanbase that would be suspicious about Spurs signing Lionel Messi. ‘He’d unsettle the team’ etc etc…
A source close to Tottenham has told the Harry Hotspur Blog that even Daniel Levy is aware of the value to the team our stellar combo of Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderwiereld have and best endeavours are being made to squeeze one more season from both players in order to oversee the inevitable handover processes.
Our first team squad is in urgent need of some quality additions.
Levy & Co., may have dropped the ball previously, but efforts are now being made to make the transitions as painless as possible.
Good.
It’s the very least Mauricio Pochettino deserves.
