Spurs Can’t Lose Today [opinion]

By The Boy -

Unless something sudden and miraculous has happened at Brighton and Hove Albion, then Spurs are geared up to secure another 3 points this lunchtime.

Our visitors have been bumbling along to little good purpose this season, as indicated by their current occupation of the 11th spot. In their last 5 outings, they’ve lost on 3 occasions and, they’ve drawn once, however, it is their victory over Arsenal last time out which is the only mild cause for concern.

The bookies have Spurs at 1/2 on, and Brighton at 11/2. Harry Kane and Heung Son-Min are scoring for fun against second-rate sides.

Tottenham has won all 4 of their Premier League games against Brighton. Add to which, our visitors have been terrible on the road against us, winning just 1 of their last 9 attempts…

Want to watch the big match? Spurs vs Brighton is broadcast live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, with coverage beginning at 11:30am.

This should be an air-hockey score.

Watch out for the LIVE blog.

Sideshow Bob did ok today but got caught out twice by Hojbjerg and Moura. He is better than Reggie though. Lamptey, although not at his best was better than Royal and Reggie. Bissouma was very good. He is better than Hojbjerg.

Its Spurs we could lose to ourselves… a few seasons back beat Newcastle & finish 2nd… they were already relegated…what’s the worse that could happen?? We got beat 6-1 & finished 3rd lol. The Spurs of then is still the same one as now….😂

WEL, WELL, WELL. You certainly are a boy when it comes to football knowledge. Brighton deservedly won. I suspected that they might at least draw. The vast majority of Brighton’s players are Internationals and on their day, can beat anybody. You should show more respect to other teams.

Cucurella for me, I’m not sure about Lamptey now, Bissouma again not sure about.

Yes, all other Premiership teams envy your front 2. i am not sure which one of them is best. If Brighton had a front 1, we might be challenging for a European place – certainly, nothing more

Lets hope Brighton come out and play because we do best against teams that don’t set up a defensive block. As long as we score more than them we should be fine, on paper at least.

Don’t say it H! Let’s be humble, respect our opponent and if we play like we have of late then we should certainly come away with a win. However, as we all know, in the EPL, on their day any team is capable of springing a surprise. Hopefully Brighton’s ‘day in the sun’ was last weekend!

Agreed, Brighton are capable of ‘big’ results. Every team on their day can beat anyone (W/e should know, we have done the double over Citeh). On paper there should only be one winner, bit like your game v Arsenal!

Brighton definitely punch above their weight with the squad they have. It bemused me when their fans were booing Potter this season. They could quite easily end up like Swansea and go down finding it hard to get back. Be thankful for what you have is what I say. I would have Bissouma and Lamptey at Spurs but that is about it. Because they try to play football I like them, but if we can send them on their way we will give Arsenal another psychological push that we are ahead of them.

Wow – and of course, Spurs have won so many trophies, over the recent years. Brighton have had a bad run but have drawn twice with Chelsea, drawn at Liverpool and beaten Arsenal away and drawn at home with them. You arrogance deserves a bad result for Spurs.
