Tottenham has been given some encouragement in their pursuit of defender Nikola Milenkovic as he continues to ignore Fiorentina’s new contract offer.
The Lilywhites need a new centre back and they have made Milenkovic one of their top summer targets.
The Serbian has been developing well with La Viola and he is one of their budding youngsters who are impressing European clubs.
He has one more season left on his current deal and they want to protect his transfer value by giving him a new one.
However, it seems he has other plans for his future amidst interest from the likes of Tottenham and Juventus.
Gazzetta dello Sport as reported by Inside Futbol claims that the defender has been turning down contract offers from his current club.
This would come as a major boost to Tottenham in their bid to sign him.
Fabio Paratici built his career in Italy and he is skilled at signing players from Italian clubs.
The new Tottenham football director could help them to convince the 23-year-old to make the move to north London in this transfer window.
If they cannot sign him for a low transfer fee this summer, he could join them as a free agent next summer.
That is the sad part. ENIC have done that to countless Supporters. People have just given up.
I must commend the players that have trained so hard to show us they don’t care. They have mastered the art of ripping a fans heart out. To get worse at your job with growing experience defies logic. Dier, lamely, winks, sissoko, loris, Davis, berg Wien, and more have outstayed there welcome the lucky bastards. What next? Jeans on match of the day?
I dont understand how we could sign any Italian players. That anomaly that was highlighted with Zorro reminded me of the deal Ramsey got they are taxed extremely favourably.
Can’t remember the last time I clicked on newsnow…its all fabricated – I used to get drawn into it all but that’s when there was a feeling of hope , hope of us trying to be a “big” club on the pitch…don’t mind being a 7-8th club but don’t charge the highest ticket prices in the world, pretend to be a “big” club or put us in a generational debt just for the same old merry-go-round….I just want ENIC gone, for better or worse, doesn’t matter any more, I’ll take the “doing a Leed’s” and be relegated to Div. 1 if new owners went for glory and it all when south…can’t stand how ENIC have made me feel towards my club..
If he’s a free agent next season he will sign for another Italian club and get a whopping great signing on fee which won’t happen with Spurs. Dream on.
