Spurs ace posts emotional farewell to Victor Wanyama

By Ron Carne -

Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko has posted a farewell message to Victor Wanyama after his exit.

As noted in an official statement from the club, an agreement was reached with MLS side Montreal Impact as Wanyama’s stint in north London has come to an end.

After signing for Tottenham in 2016, the Kenyan international went on to make 97 appearances for the club, but his role diminished this season as he became a bit-part squad player.

However, he posted on Twitter on Thursday as he took part in his first training session with Montreal as he now begins a new chapter in his career.

Sissoko has sent his best wishes to his former teammate, as seen in his Instagram post below. The midfielder posted an emotional farewell as the pair evidently grew close during their time together at Tottenham, having both joined in the summer of 2016.

Wanyama could make his debut for his side this weekend, while Sissoko continues his recovery from a knee injury.
