Source: Spurs Are One Of 3 Sides In For Leon Bailey

By The Boy -

Will Spurs’ transfer activity be ramped up at all, come the summer? Despite the threat of returning fans gathering small amounts of momentum, all Premier League sides are still going to find making decisions just as difficult as ever, which doesn’t bode well for Tottenham fans, given our appalling track record in spending over the last half a dozen years or so.

According to Caughtoffside Tottenham have shown interest in Leon Bailey, the winger from Bayer Leverkusen. Writer Leah Smith stated We understand that Bailey only has eyes for a Premier League move which has prompted both Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan to withdraw their interest.

But just how close might Spurs’ interest have taken us? Well, about as close as Everton’s, or so it might seem. Last summer, 90MINS claimed that Bailey wanted out of Germany to such a degree that a transfer fee as low as £20million was mooted.

At that price, Hitchens might well be a player, but Spurs face the unenviable task of working out whom they can force out the door before any purchases can be considered.

Very good player. Another right winger. I guess we would be looking to offload Coco, or Lucas, or Bale… Or maybe even two of those depending on performances and finance…. I’ve pretty much lost faith in Hannibal Hitchen now. His last two world class signings were Suerez for the Scouse (whom he had scouted for spurs previously, but didn’t sign him for us) and Luka Modric! Finding one world class player every ten years is no way good enough for a club trying to mix with the best… Liverpool soon gave Hannibal back to us didn’t they. Almost as quick as Robbie Keane.
