Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min continues to be linked with a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Football London, the player is open to an exit from Tottenham this summer, and the club has not been able to decide on his future yet.

Son Heung-min set for exit?

MLS clubs are interested in securing his signature, and there is interest from Saudi Arabian clubs as well. The player is in the final 11 months of his contract at Tottenham, and they could be under pressure to sell him this summer. They will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next summer.

It remains to be seen what the player decides. It seems that his future could be decided after the pre-season tour to Asia. Son is crucial to generating revenues from the Asia pre-season tour, and therefore, he is unlikely to leave the club just yet.

The South Korean international has been an exceptional performer for Tottenham for a decade. He is undoubtedly one of their best players of all time, and it seems unlikely that Tottenham will stand in his way if he wishes to move on this summer.

Right time for Son to move on?

The player is entering the twilight years of his career, and this could be the right time for him to try out a new challenge. Moving to MLS or Saudi Arabia will allow him to pocket a lucrative contract at this stage of his career.

He has already proven himself in Europe over the years, and he helped Tottenham and their wait for a trophy as well. This could be the right time for both parties to go their separate ways.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can replace him adequately if he moves on.
