Son Heung-Min Gets An Assist For South Korea In An Otherwise Forgettable Performance [video]

By The Boy -

South Korea beat Qatar 2-1 last night and it was Sonny that popped up with an assist… but there was little evidence elsewhere of it being a vaguely memorable showing from South East Asian ace.

Son’s mean average success for dribbling is 49.3%, and last night the 28-year-old failed to get beyond 17%.

In just about every other discipline, Sonny put in a just about average performance. We have to take a view here that this was a naff game and that he got it out of his system with someone else.

Star players from countries with a narrow selection for national teams very often underperform in internationals. They face high expectations from public, but football is team game and their team is usually quite rubbish, they often dont meet these expectations. Not a big deal at all 🙂
