Sky Sports pundit Stephen Warnock says he loved how James Maddison celebrates Cristian Romero’s goal against Crystal Palace.
Spurs came back from behind to beat The Eagles 3-1 on Saturday.
Eberechi Eze gave Palace the lead through a stunning free-kick but Spurs score thrice in 11 minutes to turn the game around.
They scored two in three minutes through Timo Werner and Cristian Romero.
The German tapped in Brennan Johnson’s cross from close range before Romero headed in James Maddison’s brilliant cross at the back post to complete the comeback.
And the goal triggered wild celebrations from the players.
Warnock noticed James Maddison reaction to the goal from Romero as he claimed thst England midfielder channelled his inner Romero.
Talking about Maddison’s celebration, he said in The Football Show on Sky Sports:
“The way he celebrates this James Madison.”
“He channels his inner Romero as he celebrates here. That enthusiasm from James Maddison.
“I loved it. I absolutely loved it. He channelled his inner Romero.”
The win was huge for Spurs as it kept them within touching distance of Aston Villa ahead of their big game against them this weekend.
They are trailing them by 5 points. If they beat Unai Emery’s side, they will close down the gap to just 2 points with a game in hand.
