“should have got rid of him”, “no one wanted him” – Pundit brutally singles out one player after Wolves defeat

By Mehdi Gokal -

Former Tottenham midfielder and pundit Jamie O’Hara brutally criticised Tottenham defender Eric Dier for his performance during the match against Wolves and questioned his role in both goals conceded by the team.

In the game, Tottenham took an early lead through Brennan Johnson’s goal but struggled to maintain their advantage.

Wolves continued to press and eventually equalised in stoppage time with a goal from Pablo Sarabia.

Just five minutes later, Wolves secured a remarkable turnaround, with Mario Lemina scoring the winner in the 97th minute.

Ange Postecoglou after the game admitted that it was not the result they wanted but suggested that some of the players lost their legs towards the end of the game.

Former Spurs midfielder turned pundit Jamie O’Hara went on a furious rant on TalkSport after the game where he criticised Ange for being too attacking all the time.

He also criticised the quality of the Tottenham players and singled out Eric Dier for making mistakes that contributed to both of Wolves’ goals.

O’Hara further suggested that Dier should have been sold in the summer but found himself back in the team.

He said:

“Eric Dier for me, two mistakes, in no man’s land for both goals.

“I don’t know where he is trying to go.

“He is back at the football club again.

“We should have got rid of him in the summer. No one wanted him, and he ended up back in the team.”
