Saudi clubs looking to raid Tottenham for £190k-a-week first-team mainstay

Saudi Pro League clubs are eyeing a Bosman move for Tottenham Hotspur skipper Son Heung-min.

The North London club have endured a mixed start to the new season as they have only secured one win out of their first three league outings. While their overall form has been disappointing, skipper Son Heung-min has once again showcased his quality with two goals in the three outings.

The £190k-a-week South Korean international has been one of the mainstays since joining the club back in 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen. While the 32-year-old still has a few years left in him, his long-term future at the club is uncertain with his contract running out in 2025. According to Fichajes, Saudi Pro League clubs are plotting a move for the Tottenham skipper.

Clubs in the Middle East have prepared a shortlist of high-profile names they will target in 2025 and Son is one of the names on their wishlist. They want to secure his services as a free agent and would be willing to table a massive financial offer to lure him away.

The South Korean superstar has contributed towards 248 goals (164 goals, 84 assists) during his time in North London. He remains an integral part of their first-team setup and Spurs are expected to offer him a new deal in the near future. However, the management chaired by Daniel Levy has strict policies regarding offering new deals to ageing players, as a result, clubs from Saudi Arabia can surely try and lure him away with a massive contract offer.
