Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki at the end of the season.
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed to Give Me Sport that the player is likely to be available for a bargain price of around £25 million this summer, and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done. They will face competition from Manchester United as well.
The 21-year-old French midfielder has eight goals and 18 assists in all competitions this season. He could prove to be an exceptional long-term acquisition for the Premier League clubs.
Lyon have made the player available for a reasonable amount of money, and this is a golden opportunity for Tottenham to snap up the 21-year-old.
Cherki is highly rated across Europe, and he could develop into a top-quality player for Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Romano has confirmed that the £25 million exit clause in the midfielder’s contract is not as straightforward as one would expect. Certain conditions will have to be met in order for the move to go through. However, there is no doubt that the 21-year-old would be a major bargain at that price.
Romano said: “Yes, but it’s not an ‘easy’ clause. Lyon insist there are certain conditions to be met, so it’s not that simple. In any case, for me, it’s a potential bargain as he is an excellent talent.”
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done. They need more quality and depth in the final third, and the 21-year-old is capable of operating as a central attacking midfielder as well as a wide player. He will add goals and creativity to the side.
The player is still only 21 and he will improve with coaching and experience. He could develop into a reliable Premier League performer with the right guidance.
