Tottenham Hotspur need to bring in attacking reinforcements at the end of the season, and there have been rumours that they could look to sign Mathys Tel permanently upon the expiry of his loan deal.
The French attacker joined Tottenham on loan from Bayern Munich during the January transfer window and Tottenham have an option to sign him permanently. Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that they are likely to bring another attacker, even if they decide to sign Tel.
He said to GMS: “With Werner leaving, I still expect movements at Tottenham in the summer even if they decide to sign Mathys Tel.”
Tottenham need more quality and depth in the attacking unit and signing another attacker would be a wise decision. Timo Werner is set to leave the club upon the expiry of his loan deal, and Richarlison has been linked with an exit as well. With Son Heung-min in his 30s, Tottenham need to build an attacking unit for the future. Signing another quality attacker would be a wise decision. It remains to be seen whether they can plug the gaps in their squad over the next few months.
They have had a disappointing season and they will be looking to bounce back strongly next year. A club of their stature is expected to fight for Champions League qualification and domestic trophies at the very least. They have not been able to do that recently and it will be interesting to see if they can bounce back strongly with the right additions.
Ideally, Tottenham should look to bring in a dynamic forward, capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and they should look to invest in another striker as well.
