Rival manager ‘really likes’ Spurs star, will ‘try to get his hands’ on the player

By Saikat -

Chelsea have recently appointed Graham Potter as their new manager following the departure of Thomas Tuchel after a series of disappointing performances.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion manager is thought to be plotting his summer transfer plans already and he is keen on signing the Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The England international striker is undoubtedly one of the best players in the Premier League and he would be an outstanding acquisition for any club in world football.

Chelsea’s need for a top class goalscorer is no secret and Kane would be an impressive acquisition for them. However, it seems highly unlikely that Spurs will sell their best player to a direct rival anytime soon.

The striker has been linked with clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich in recent months as well.

A player of Harry Kane’s calibre deserves to play for a club capable of challenging for major trophies and it will be interesting to see if the player decides to push for a move away from Tottenham at the end of the season.

Spurs have improved a lot since the arrival of Antonio Conte but they still lagging behind the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea when it comes to challenging for trophies.

A report from CalcioMercatoWeb claims, “Potter really likes Harry Kane, the immovable symbol of Conte’sTottenham, on which he would like to try to get his hands on at the end of the season”.
