Richarlison was not happy with Harry Kane for what he did against Nottingham Forest

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has reportedly left his teammate Richarlison feeling disappointed after taking a penalty in their 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.

The Brazilian had been hoping to take the spot-kick in order to end his goal drought, but Kane ultimately stepped up to take it himself.

Despite their recent spat, manager Antonio Conte gave Richarlison the nod to start the game.

The Brazilian was keen to make an impact and was brought down inside the box, leading to the penalty that Kane eventually took.

Speaking to his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold commented on Richarlison’s reaction (24:50):

“I did feel slightly for him. He looked so disappointed. He kind of went off the pitch, grabbed the ball and then I think there was this moment where he was like, ‘is he going to let me take the penalty?'”

Richarlison has struggled to find his form since joining Spurs in the summer, scoring just two goals so far this season, both in the Champions League group stages against Marseille.

Despite this, the club has no intention of selling the 25-year-old and will hope he can rediscover his scoring touch next season under a new manager next season with Conte set to leave in the summer.

Meanwhile, Kane’s brace against Nottingham Forest takes his tally to 22 goals in all competitions this season, and will be a welcome boost for Spurs as they look to climb the Premier League table.

Heung-min Son scored the team’s third goal, securing a vital win for Tottenham as they seek to build momentum to a top 4 finish.
