Tottenham ace Richarlison could be on the move in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The North London club are considering signing Timo Werner permanently on the back of his impressive performances. The player is also keen on continuing at Tottenham. While they are looking to keep him at the club beyond the summer, Spurs are still planning to sign another forward and the future of Richarlison could have a big say on it.
The 26-year-old Brazil international could embark on a fresh challenge in the summer as per a report by GiveMeSport. Richarlison arrived at the club in the summer of 2022 as Tottenham forked out £60 million to sign him from Everton. He has not lit up the world for Spurs but the Brazilian forward has done a decent job so far this season.
Richarlison to leave Tottenham?
When Spurs decided against signing a replacement for Harry Kane last summer, Richarlison was expected to have a prominent role as the centre-forward. But, that hasn’t happened with Ange Postecoglou deploying Heung-min Son up top.
The former Everton forward has featured in 28 matches this season. Despite contributing towards 14 goals (11 goals and three assists), he has only racked up just over 1,600 minutes. With Spurs looking to make Werner’s move permanent, the South Korean forward might continue in a central role next season as well.
As a result, Richarlison could look for a new challenge elsewhere. Meanwhile, his future will have a big impact on Spurs’ plans for the summer. It will have a key bearing on which forward they end up pushing for to reinforce their attack.
