Respected journalist tips Tottenham to consider a move for summer target in January

By Bruce Grove -

One player that Tottenham wanted to sign in the last transfer window was Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.

The Slovakian has remained a target of Jose Mourinho since he was the manager of Manchester United.

He was one of the untouchable players at Inter Milan before last season, he is no longer that important to the club and it seems that the Italians will be open to selling him.

However, Spurs were unable to meet Inter’s asking price and the transfer window closed with Spurs signing Joe Rodon from Swansea instead.

It seems that the Lilywhites are still interested in signing the Inter man and Alasdair Gold has now delivered an update on his transfer.

The Tottenham reporter claims that he expects the club to return for the defender in the next transfer window.

In a video posted on his YouTube channel, he reiterated that Spurs were really keen to make a move for Skriniar and they will explore that transfer again when the window reopens.

He said: “I think they will have a look at Skriniar in January and see what the situation is there. He was a player they really wanted and to see whether feasibly, financially it’s doable – and like I say, with the foreign player side of things, you’ve got to sort that out as well.”
