Report: Two French clubs eye former Tottenham manager Nuno Espírito Santo

By Eddie Razo -

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espírito Santo wants to get back into a managerial role as he hopes to put a couple of months with the north London-based club behind him.

After losing five of ten Premier League matches, Tottenham decided to sack the Portuguese tactician.

Nonetheless, rather than wait until the summer for jobs to open up, Nuno is ready to jump in mid-season with any club looking to make a change at manager.

The Sun reports that French clubs Olympique Lyonnais and Lille OSC could be calling following poor starts to their 2021-22 seasons.

Furthermore, the information also suggests that Nuno could wait for a Premier League job to open, considering there have been five sackings already through 11 matches.

Nuno doesn’t want the failed tenure at Tottenham to follow him around, so it comes as no surprise he’s willing to take over a job during the middle of the season.

However, it might be a while before a top-six Premier League club pursues the 47-year-old. It seems as though if Nuno sticks around, it will likely be with a mid-table club or one hoping to avoid relegation from England’s top league.
