Report: Tottenham transfer target keen on remaining in the Premier League

By Eddie Razo -

Tottenham Hotspur wants to further improve their midfield this summer despite the addition of Rodrigo Bentancur this past January and the pending arrival of Pape Matar Sarr after the end of this season.

One target that the north London club is reportedly keen on is Wolverhampton Wanderers Ruben Neves. The Portugal international is looking for a new challenge and will be open to a move, but now a report is sharing details as to where Neves would like to continue his career.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old would prefer to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Wolves this summer, with the club prepared to demand around £70-million for their star midfielder.

Neves has two years left on his deal and has been at Wolves since 2017, helping the club with their promotion and establishing themselves in the Premier League.

However, despite being a vital player for the club, he is believed to be eager to play regular European football, preferably in the Champions League. The midfielder has made 33 appearances this season while scoring four goals and recording two assists.
