Tottenham Hotspur will be in the market for a forward to help chip in on the attack and compliment the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. One player that has long been connected to the north London club is Lautaro Martinez.
With the connection to manager Antonio Conte, who had the 24-year-old at Inter Milan, the rumors persisted through the season. Spurs are ready to land a forward with the summer transfer window opening.
Journalist Matteo Moretto reports that Martinez isn’t keen on departing the Serie A club. The Argentine is very happy at Inter Milan, and he’s focused on winning with the Italian side.
Moretto continues by saying that Inter Milan wants to hold onto Martinez; however, he says that should an offer knocks them off their feet, they’ll listen, much like they did last summer when they received a concrete proposal from Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku.
This season, Martinez has scored 21 goals and recorded three assists in 45 appearances.
He might get a better looking barnet over here if nothing else !
Unless some sort of miracle occurs, no top player is coming to the ENIC graveyard. Where ambition goes to die.
Martinez is never coming to us.End of.
I am not ITK not even psychic but I never considered this player as an option in the Summer.
Levy doesn’t do offers that knock the other club off their feet, except of course in it’s amount BELOW the asking price.
