Report: Tottenham star ready in discussion to commit to a long-term deal

By Eddie Razo -

Heading into the 2021-22 season, Harry Kane was at odds with Tottenham Hotspur after a failed summer move away from north London.

Furthermore, the squad didn’t get off to a good start leading to the sacking of manager Nuno Espírito Santo in November and many questioning if Kane would push for an exit the following summer.

However, Spurs got made the right hire when they brought in manager Antonio Conte, leading them to a top-four finish and UEFA Champions League football. As a result, Kane is reportedly ready to commit to this project long-term.

According to the Evening StandardKane is ready to discuss extending his contract at Tottenham after becoming happy with the club’s direction. The 28-year-old has two years left on his current deal and is prepared to commit long-term.

With Conte at the helm of the north London club and Tottenham’s owners ENIC pumping £150million of capital into the club, it seems as though these moves are enough for Kane to spend the rest of his prime years with Tottenham.

Don’t do it Harry.
2 years takes you to 30 and about the same length as Conte’s tenure a great time for you both to leave.
You know if Levy comes cap in hand you have to count your fingers after shaking hands.
You must regret the last extension think on MacDuff.

Is this information coming from Kane or the club’s PR department? To my mind an awful lot of positivity needs to happen over the summer for Harry to commit further to Spurs. After all there are still 2years left on his contract so there is no hurry. He should take it to the wire just like Levy does with his transfer dealings.
