The backline of Tottenham Hotspur will require some further improvement considering they’ll need to rotate more players with the possibility of playing UEFA Champions League football next season.
Cristian Romero and Eric Dier appear to have their positions locked down in the three at the back system. However, there needs to be an upgrade at the left-center back role, which Ben Davies currently occupies.
As a result, Spurs have been linked to various central defenders that could fill the role for next season. According to Calciomercato, Tottenham is ready to make an offer for Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni and reunite him with manager Antonio Conte.
The Serie A club values the 23-year-old at a fee between €60-million and €70-million. Furthermore, Inter Milan is unlikely to compromise for less as they look to deal with their complex financial state.
Nonetheless, Tottenham isn’t the only Premier League club as Manchester City is a club that the media outlet won’t rule out making a run at the Italy international.
Everyone is the wrong price for Levy!
That’s why they’ll still be starting for us for another two years, at least…
I think there will be a couple of loans couple of frees couple of purchases excluding Romero and Kulu. That’s how Conte will get his six.
Dier is a back up as is Davies. Neither would get anywhere near a top-flight side with genuine ambition.
It seems Isco is leaving Real Madrid on a free this summer. We could do worse for a playmaker.I would think his salary is doable.
Hmm, he’s valued at between €60-70 mill. Right age but wrong price for Levy.
It could happen if he’s 23, as we know, it isn’t ENIC’s policy to sign anyone over the age of 24 who’s proven quality. The odd cheapo journeyman perhaps…
