Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
The 29-year-old was expected to move on during the summer transfer window, and it seems that he could be sold in January now.

The report claims that Sporting CP are monitoring the England international defender and they could look to sign him in January. Apparently, Tottenham have already identified a potential replacement for him.
As per football transfers, Postecoglou is planning to promote the talented young 18-year-old defender Alfie Durrington to the first-team squad if Tottenham sell Dier during the January transfer window.
Dorrington is highly rated at the North London club and he has a big future ahead of him. First-team exposure during the second half of the campaign could do him a world of good as far as his development is concerned.
Even though he might not get ample playing time, he could learn a lot during his cameos and Tottenham could also offer him game time in the cup games.
